Expected lifespan:Under normal use and maintenance, portable nickel-metal hydride batteries have a lifespan of approximately 2-3 years. High temperatures or frequent deep charging and discharging can shorten their lifespan.
Charging cycles: The number of cycles under standard charging and discharging conditions is 500.
Performance degradation: As the number of cycles increases, the capacity gradually decreases. After 500 cycles, the capacity usually drops to 60%-70% of the initial value, mainly due to the weakened hydrogen absorption capacity of the hydrogen storage alloy and the loss of positive electrode active materials. Long-term storage, especially in high-temperature environments, can also cause slow degradation.
